Crash beds

Whenever possible solutions such as crash beds are preferred, to be tested only with test type TB11 of EN 1317. The crash bed is another device classifiable as an attenuator that slows down and stops derailed vehicles; it consists of a corrugated layer, according to precise geometry, of granular material, which, by sinking the wheels of the vehicle, determines the gradual stop in a certain number of meters.
